SCOTTISH BEACH VOLLEYBALL; Making more history...

After years of hard work, the Scottish Volleyball Association, have installed the first EVER indoor Beach Volleyball Court in Scotland at a local farm in Edinburgh.  This will have a massive impact on our training quality and regularity as we prepare for the Gold Coast. #TheBarn

The Barn is already having a huge impact on our progress on the court, but its also amazing the impact its having off the court, with people really taking notice of our efforts to better ourselves and our sport. Coverage on BBC Reporting Scotland has raised awareness of Beach Volleyball in this country and the curiosity and intrigue is spreading across Scotland as we push to raisee the profile of our amazing sport in this country and beyond.

The neighbours have been so welcoming and supportive of what we are trying to do; they even popped over last night with a hot mug of soup to keep us warm in the snow.

We are extremely lucky to have the support of the SVA to make this happen and are delighted that the sand from the court will be taken straight to one of our local Edinburgh schools for development purposes, with longer term plans to establish a permanent Indoor Beach Volleyball Facility in the next year or so, in partnership with one of our Local Universities.

Season 2018 gets underway...

Season 2018 gets underway with FIVB 4* in The Hague, Netherlands; January 2018.

Stay tuned for updates from our first ever 4* event, and our first of the 2018 season as our final preparations for the Gold Coast get underway.

After a hard fought season, we have qualified for the Commonwealth Games as the 6th ranked team in the Commonwealth.

We have already made history as the first Scottish Women's team, to be selected to represent Team Scotland at the Commonwealth Games for the sport of Beach Volleyball, but are not satisfied just to go to the Gold Coast; we are hungry for a medal and are working hard to be in the best shape we can possibly be to do that come April.

Commonwealth Games 2018, is the priority focus for Scotland's top Beach Volleyball pairing; Lynne Beattie and Mel Coutts, currently one of the top ranked European Commonwealth teams and in the TOP 20 in the World Commonwealth rankings.
